IWCA congratulates Teija Marika Lublinkhof on joining the board of directors for the African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA). Teija was elected to serve a three-year term as she began her duty during AFCA’s 11th annual conference in Bujumbura, Burundi February 13-15, 2014.
Teija brings a wealth of coffee knowledge and experience from coffee retailing, marketing, and production. A participant in the IWCA Leadership Development Training in 2012, she is well known for her work in the African coffee industry serving as trainer and head judge in barista competitions and the Taste of Harvest events in Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, and South Africa. In 2008 she founded Marika’s Coffee in Zambia, a roasting company focused on providing quality Zambian coffees to the local market. In 2013 she became co-founder to Café Aroma, an online store marketing Zambian coffee to the Finnish market. She has been a volunteer for Zambia Coffee Growers Association (ZCGA) since 2006. There are few idle moments for Teija. She joins Sarah Sach as the second women currently serving on the AFCA board of directors. Congratulations to Teija and AFCA.
