IWCA provides what the World Bank identifies as the four elements of empowerment: access to information, inclusion, accountability, and local organizational capacity. To accomplish this, resources are focused on five interventions at the chapter and global level.
chapter operations and development
Allows for IWCA chapter leaders and members to improve general operating procedures and skill set to increase overall success at the chapter level.
capital and construction development
Includes construction, building, fabrication, or development of physical items utilized in the coffee farming and production process.
Includes social service projects and outreach initiatives which aim to improve aspects of the community in which the women coffee farmers live.
