Run for Ruth & Help Support IWCA Chapters Around the Globe

Contributed by Cari Trimyer, IWCA Communications Team Volunteer

Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG) dedicated her life to making the world a better place. The second woman to serve on the US Supreme Court, she was a champion for equality not only for women, but for all human beings.

Run for Ruth is a way for all of us to celebrate the life and legacy of RBG. Participants commit to run, bike, walk, or jog a 5K (3.2 miles) or 87 mile distance by November 2, 2020. The IWCA is honored to be one of several nonprofits benefiting from this event. All race registrants will receive a t-shirt, digital race bib, and finisher medal. Click here to register and learn more.

The mission of the IWCA is to empower women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives; and to encourage and recognize the participation of women in all aspects of the coffee industry. Like RBG, the IWCA actively supports the belief that “…women belong in all places where decisions are being made”. Her legacy will continue to inspire us every day as we remain committed to our mission. Help us honor her legacy by participating in Run for Ruth.
