IWCA Mexico Hosts 3rd Annual Forum for Women in Coffee

The Alliance of Women in Coffee in Mexico has held the Forum of Women in Coffee for two consecutive years, with the aim of creating a plural space where we can converge to express our achievements, needs and concerns.
In this space, we also seek to inspire and enrich ourselves with the experiences of other women, to empower ourselves and participate in the construction of a more inclusive and fair sector.
We know that this year is atypical, and that it implies great challenges, but also great opportunities. Thanks to the Latin American Coffee Summit, which with its generosity and hospitality has become our home, this year we will be able to count on the participation of women coffee growers and representatives from across the IWCA Global Network. The 2020 virtual edition of the Latin American Coffee Summit allows us to expand this exchange and seek a global impact from our 3rd Women in Coffee Forum.
The Third Forum of Women in Coffee aims to:
Contribute to the development of personal skills to facilitate the empowerment of women.
Visualize the new challenges that the new normal imposes on women in the sector.
Deliver skills development models to implement in this new normal.
To achieve these objectives, we will have the participation of women from Mesoamerica, Africa and Asia from the IWCA, who with their success stories and experience inspire us to build these models and apply them.

La Alianza de Mujeres en Café de México ha celebrado por dos años consecutivos el Foro de Mujeres en Café, con la finalidad de crear un espacio plural donde podamos converger para expresar nuestros logros, necesidades e inquietudes. En este espacio, también buscamos inspirarnos y enriquecernos con las experiencias de otras mujeres, para empoderarnos y participar en la construcción de un sector más inclusivo y justo.
Sabemos que este año es atípico, y que implica grandes retos, pero también grandes oportunidades. Gracias a la Cumbre Latinoamericana del Café, que con su generosidad y hospitalidad, se ha convertido en nuestra casa, este año podremos contar con la participación de mujeres cafetaleras y representantes de nuestra Alianza de todo el mundo. La edición virtual 2020 de la Cumbre Latinoamericana del Café, nos permite ampliar este intercambio y buscar un impacto global de nuestro Tercer Foro de Mujeres en Café.
Tercer Foro de Mujeres en Café tiene como objetivos:
Aportar al desarrollo de habilidades personales para facilitar el empoderamiento de mujeres.
Visualizar los nuevos retos que la nueva normalidad nos impone a las mujeres del sector.
Entregar modelos de desarrollo de habilidades para implementar en esta nueva normalidad.
Para lograr estos objetivos, contaremos con la participación de mujeres de Mesoamérica, África y Asia de la IWCA, quienes con sus casos de éxito y experiencia nos inspiran para la construcción de estos modelos y su aplicación.
