Blanca Castro Presents on IWCA at Congreso EUDR & Data 2025
Today, Blanca Castro, IWCA Global’s Communications Lead, took the stage at the Congreso EUDR & Data 2025 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This important regional gathering brings together leaders from across the agricultural value chains of coffee, cocoa, and palm oil to address data governance, traceability, and compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
In her presentation, Blanca shared how IWCA’s global network of 36 chapters is driving inclusion and leadership for women in coffee. She highlighted the essential role women play across the value chain, and how IWCA serves as a connector, building systems that ensure women’s voices are represented in emerging data and compliance frameworks.
By bringing the IWCA perspective into the conversation, Blanca underscored that traceability and sustainability cannot be achieved without equity. Women must not only be visible in data systems, but also empowered to lead change in their communities and industries.
We extend our sincere thanks to GIZ, the European Union, and all the organizers and partners for creating this platform to share IWCA’s mission and to highlight the voices of women in coffee.
