Announcing IWCA’s New Board Leadership

The International Women’s Coffee Alliance is pleased to announce new leadership for our Global Board of Directors. Emily Bollinger has been appointed President, and Shelby Colley has been appointed Vice President.

Their combined experience strengthens IWCA at a moment when thoughtful governance, strategic clarity, and cross-sector collaboration matter more than ever.

Emily Bollinger

President, IWCA Global Board of Directors

Emily Bollinger has served on the IWCA Global Board since March 2021 and steps into the role of President with deep institutional knowledge and a steady, systems-oriented approach to leadership.

Emily is Green Coffee Logistics Manager at Peet’s Coffee, where she manages complex supply chain operations connecting origin partners to roastery teams. Her work spans green coffee sourcing, inbound logistics, inventory management, and quality alignment—experience that brings rigor and operational insight to IWCA’s global strategy.

With a background in environmental science and prior experience in the wine industry, Emily brings an analytical lens to agricultural supply chains and sustainability. As a longtime advocate for women in coffee and a working mother in the industry, her leadership reflects both professional depth and lived perspective.

As President, Emily will guide IWCA’s board through its next phase of growth, supporting strong governance, strategic partnerships, and alignment across our global chapter network.

Shelby Colley

Vice President, IWCA Global Board of Directors

Shelby Colley brings nearly 15 years of brand and marketing leadership in food and beverage to her role as Vice President. She currently serves as Vice President of Marketing at Equator Coffees, a Bay Area–based B Corp known for its commitment to sustainability, equity, and quality.

Shelby’s career includes senior marketing roles with Peet’s Coffee and Vivino, where she led brand growth, subscription strategy, and customer engagement across digital and brick-and-mortar channels. Her work consistently connects purpose with performance—building brands that resonate while delivering measurable results.

Shelby has served as Secretary of the IWCA Global Board and brings a values-driven, people-centered leadership style grounded in clarity, accountability, and care. As Vice President, she will help strengthen IWCA’s strategic direction, communications, and board effectiveness.

Looking Ahead

Together, Emily and Shelby bring complementary strengths: operational excellence, brand strategy, governance experience, and a shared commitment to equity in the coffee sector. Their leadership will help IWCA continue building meaningful connections across the value chain and supporting women’s leadership globally.

We are grateful for their service and excited for what lies ahead under this new board leadership.
