IWCA Attends Semana Internacional do Café 2025 in Brazil
Celebrating Innovation, Sustainability, and Women’s Leadership in Coffee
IWCA is honored to attend the 13th annual Semana Internacional do Café (SIC) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, taking place from November 5–7, 2025, at Expominas.
SIC is one of the largest coffee trade events in the world, bringing together more than 25,000 attendees from over 40 countries and showcasing the full scope of Brazil’s coffee sector—from smallholder farmers and exporters to roasters, researchers, and baristas. This year’s theme, “Café em Transformação – Inovação, Sustentabilidade e Oferta do Mercado Global”, reflects the urgent need for collaboration and adaptation across the global coffee value chain.
Blanca Castro, IWCA Executive Director, and Ximena Lainfiesta, Regional Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean, will be on site representing the IWCA Global team. While IWCA will not be exhibiting, this is an important opportunity for our leadership to participate in industry conversations, meet with partners, and highlight the work of our 36 chapters around the world.
SIC’s robust programming—ranging from cupping rooms and business roundtables to innovation forums and the Coffee of the Year competition—provides fertile ground for new relationships, knowledge exchange, and celebrating the people behind the bean.
We’re excited to connect with other attendees and continue growing the movement for equity and sustainability in coffee.
