IWCA Korea Launches Instagram Series to Spotlight Coffee Producers

Most coffee drinkers can name a roaster. Fewer can name a farm. Even fewer can name the woman who grew what's in their cup.

IWCA Korea just gave producers a way to change that. The chapter just launched a Producer Spotlight series on Instagram, built to put real names, faces, and stories from across the IWCA network in front of a wider audience.

The premise is simple. A producer fills out a short form. IWCA Korea features her on social media. Someone scrolling sees not just a coffee origin, but a person: where she works, what she grows, what her work actually looks like day to day.

That visibility does more than tell a nice story. A buyer scrolling Instagram might see a producer they'd never have found through a supply chain report. A roaster looking for a direct relationship might find one. A young woman in another chapter might see herself in that story and start asking what's possible in her own work. ‍

This is the kind of initiative that works because it's specific. Not a campaign about women in coffee in general, but one woman, one story, one face at a time. That's what makes people stop scrolling.

How to take part

If you lead a chapter, share the form with your producers. If you're a producer, this is your invitation. Interested in being featured? Fill out the form here: forms.gle/Ag4EnJxs4KuLQR4n8.

Follow @iwca_korea on Instagram to see the spotlights as they go live.

Every producer who steps forward makes the whole network more visible, and that visibility lifts women producers everywhere..
