Introducing the New IWCA Logo
For 23 years, one logo has carried IWCA's story. It's been part of every chapter meeting, every coffee bag, every partnership built with care. We love that logo. But our network has grown from 34 chapters to 40 in just the past few years, and it was time for an identity that grows with us.
So we built something new, together. This page has the recording, the details, and everything your chapter needs to move forward with confidence.

Why This Matters
When someone sees the IWCA logo, we want them to feel the full weight of what it represents: 40 chapters (and growing), thousands of women, two decades of work building opportunity across the coffee industry. One shared identity makes that visible, everywhere, all at once.
This isn't about losing what makes your chapter yours. It's about making sure the world can see the network standing behind you.
The Two Logos
Your Chapter Logo is yours. Use it for everyday chapter life: events, social media, your website, partnerships, merchandise, fundraising. No approval needed from IWCA Global, as long as it reflects IWCA's mission and values.
The IWCA Global Logo represents all of us. It's used for global initiatives and approved partnerships, and it always requires a license from IWCA Global.
One question tells you which to use: are you representing your chapter, or is someone asking to use the network's mark? Your chapter, your call. The Global logo, reach out to us first.

When a Company Wants the Global Logo
Here's how it works in practice. IWCA Guatemala connected IWCA Japan with a coffee opportunity. IWCA Japan connected that opportunity with Capital Coffee, a company that wanted to use the IWCA Global logo. IWCA Global stepped in to license it, and the proceeds flow back to both chapters.
That's the Licensing Program: a real way for your chapter's relationships to turn into revenue, with IWCA Global handling the license so you don't have to.
Two license types cover this: a Sponsorship License for partnerships and associations, and a Product License for anything tied to product sales.
Your Logo Files
Your chapter logo comes in six versions: full color, white, and black, each in horizontal and vertical layouts, ready in PNG, AI, EPS, and PDF.
Purple is not required. The white or black version of your logo can sit on any background your chapter chooses, we only ask that white stays white and black stays black, so the mark itself stays recognizable everywhere it appears.
What Happens Next
Your Regional Coordinator will reach out to you directly. Ready to start sooner? Reach out first, we'd love that, just email chapters@womenincoffee.org.
Once your chapter signs the updated MOU, we'll send your new logo files right away, and you can start using them immediately.
Questions, Answered
Do we have to switch right away?
No. Switch today if you're ready, or take up to two years. We know most chapters run on volunteer time, and we built this transition around that reality. Need longer? Just stay in touch with your Regional Coordinator.
Can we still sell merchandise with the old logo?
Yes, keep selling what you already have. That logo has been part of your chapter's story, and there's no need to pull your legacy merch from shelves or stop offering it now.
Going forward, please check with IWCA Global before producing anything new with the old logo. New materials should carry the new logo as your chapter moves through the transition.
Can we modify our chapter logo?
No. Use the color, white, or black versions exactly as provided, don't change the colors, shapes, or any other part of the design. If you have questions about what's allowed, email chapters@womenincoffee.org
Do we have to use purple?
No. See "Your Logo Files" above, your chapter's own colors can sit behind the white or black version.
We use a different logo. Can we keep using it alongside the new one?
For up to two years, as part of your transition. After that, we ask chapters to fully adopt the new logo, unless you've talked with your Regional Coordinator about your specific situation. Start that conversation early if this is you.
Can a local partner use our chapter logo?
Yes. Those partnerships are yours to build and negotiate. We'll give you templates to start from, just make sure they fit your local laws.
Can we use our chapter logo for fundraising or merchandise?
Yes, freely, no approval needed.
When do we need a Global license?
Whenever the Global logo itself is being used, usually when a company or partner asks for it, or when chapters team up with an outside partner. Not sure? Ask us.
Does the logo have to stay in English?
The mark/logo itself, yes, that's what keeps it protected internationally. But you can always write "International Women's Coffee Alliance" in your own language, exactly as you always have.
Is the logo trademarked everywhere yet?
We're working through it country by country with our trademark attorney. Some places have their own rules we're navigating carefully.
Who do I talk to if I'm not sure?
Your Regional Coordinator, first and always. Or email chapters@womenincoffee.org, it reaches every coordinator, plus Kirsten and Blanca.
This is your network, built by all of us, together. We can't wait to see what you do with it.
Make it stand out.

Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
