IWCA Kenya Connects with the Global Coffee Community at World of Coffee Geneva 2025
IWCA Global was proud to connect with members of IWCA Kenya (AWICI) during World of Coffee Geneva 2025, one of the most important international gatherings in the specialty coffee calendar.
The event brought together coffee professionals, producers, traders, roasters, and organizations from across the globe for several days of dialogue, innovation, and collaboration. IWCA Kenya was represented by several chapter members, including Chairperson Lucy Njine, who joined conversations focused on sustainability, innovation, and the future of the global coffee sector.
During the event, AWICI members connected directly with IWCA Global leadership, including Executive Director Blanca Maria Castro, as well as chapter leaders from other countries. These in-person exchanges strengthen the global IWCA network, creating space for shared learning, collaboration, and cross-chapter support.
World of Coffee Geneva also offered exposure to emerging technologies, sustainability initiatives, and evolving market trends shaping the industry. For IWCA chapters, events like this provide valuable opportunities to build visibility, deepen relationships, and ensure women’s perspectives are present in global industry conversations.
The presence of IWCA Kenya at World of Coffee reflects the chapter’s continued engagement beyond national borders and its commitment to contributing to a more inclusive, connected, and forward-looking coffee sector.
IWCA Global celebrates the leadership and participation of AWICI members and looks forward to continued collaboration as chapters across the network engage locally and globally to strengthen women’s roles throughout the coffee value chain.
