Data, Dialogue, and a Turning Point at HORECA 2025
At HORECA 2025, IWCA Greece reached an important milestone for the Greek coffee community.
For the first time, original research examining the role of women in Greece’s coffee sector was presented publicly. Conducted by ierax analytix, the study surfaced critical data on women’s representation, professional pathways, and the structural challenges that shape everyday working realities in the industry.
The response from the community was immediate and engaged.
Following the presentation, a dynamic panel discussion featuring members of IWCA Greece explored what the findings mean in practice—where progress is being made, where gaps remain, and which initiatives are needed to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment. The conversation moved beyond statistics, grounding the data in lived experience and forward-looking solutions.
IWCA Greece extends special thanks to FORUM SA for its meaningful support and recognition of the importance of this work. Appreciation also goes to the event’s supporters: Nespresso Business Solutions Greece, ARTEMIS, Kross Coffee Roasters, NKG Bero Italia S.p.A., and Savina Giachgia, whose continued engagement strengthens the impact of IWCA’s work.
The research findings will be published in issue 118 of Snack & Coffee, extending the conversation beyond the event floor and into the wider industry.
This moment marked more than a presentation—it marked progress. IWCA Greece will continue building on this foundation with future actions that support women, inform decision-making, and help shape a more inclusive future for coffee in Greece.
